The Consumer Affairs Commission is a government agency established to inform, educate and empower consumers to protect themselves in the
 marketplace. 
 
The work of the Commission is three pronged.  We engage in market research, provide complaint resolution services and run a vibrant consumer education programme.
 
The CAC operates under the Trade Act of 1955 and the Consumer Protection Act of 2005.

In 2030, the CAC is an objective, proactive, responsive and technologically driven Agency that has forged strategic alliances with key stakeholders resulting in responsible consumers and providers understanding and exercising their rights and responsibilities in the Jamaican marketplace.
